Glory to Jesus Christ!
Glory to the Creator for the morning fog that envelops everything around this morning and it became the answer to my question to God about what I should write this post about and give direction to my prayer.
You know, the morning fog it hides from our eyes some small details of the world around us, not allowing us to focus on the tinsel of something, on the outer shell.
At these moments there is only fog and the understanding that there is something behind it in the clouds of steam and the barely noticeable contours of city buildings only distantly become confirmation of this.
Looking at a beautiful fountain in the park we admire the creation of the architect who created it but completely forget about the main thing about water without which this fountain loses all meaning.
The fountain is only an outer shell that will lose its meaning if there is no water.
In essence, it is what distracts our attention from the main thing, takes precedence.
The Jews have always waited and are waiting for the arrival of the mission, but they are waiting for a king in expensive clothes, this king must come to them as one who shares with them the blessings of this world.
But you know what is strange studying the Torah, the Jews did not pay attention to the fact that God Himself appeared to the righteous fathers of Israel in simplicity.
Moses did not see before him a giant dressed in golden armor and sparkling with gems no a burning bush spoke to Moses.
Yes, a simple bush probably thorny, which we will pass by and not notice but God appeared in exactly this form before Moses.
Later, in the desert when the Jews were thirsty, God did not create a grand aqueduct or a fountain of pure gold before them, no, He ordered Moses to strike an ordinary stone with his staff and water poured out.
Living water the Living Word that is what is most important in this whole manifestation of God's Grace without any external, attractive shells.
We like the outer shells yes I am guilty of this too, even inside the church, because, when possible I did not refuse to buy all the members of my family Bibles in leather bindings with gilded pages but the living Word of God will be alive on any the most simple page of the Bible without the inclusion of special threads and without a special font the purpose of which is to reduce the strain on the eyes but someone looks at my luxurious Bible and cannot afford to buy the same one and what for me is the source of the Word of God for someone can be a temptation.
In fact any bright outer shell is a relative or a lie in the literal sense of the word, and people like lies people accept it much faster than the Word of God.
You don't have to look for examples for long, the newly elected US president promised to stop the war in 24 hours after his election... do you have a watch or a calendar?
Probably since his election, time has begun to flow differently since by old standards 24 hours have long since run out, and the war continues.
Therefore let us not look at the outer shells and strive to hang ourselves with tinsel but let us look and trust in God in everything!
