There's still a lot of talk about AI being the next big thing. And while I agree that yes it could be AI in it's current state is very lackluster. When you finally get down to the guts of it you realize it's simply a new algo that's scraping data from millions if not billions of points and then presenting you with what it thinks the result should be based on already existing info.
That however doesn't mean that AI wont advance from this stage. We have been seeing massive progression mainly in robotics and with that machine learning in which instead of a developer telling it in code in this case do this and in that case do that. The new writing allows for the machine to come up with the most efficient method possible based on trail and error over and over again. However it does need to be feed this information so it's not actully learning or creating anything "new" yet on it's own.
Microsoft
Microsoft just hit a 3 trillion dollar valuation as it continues to grow as it keeps betting heavily on AI. There small billion dollar investments into this area have exploded in growth and are creating record breaking profits for the company.
This also pushed into Nvidia which is on the cutting edge of AI as well. Their heavy investment into creating the hardware and tools for AI are pushing Nvidia into some of the largest growth aspects ever.
It's clear from these examples that the companies/people investing into AI are making break neck profits and will most likely only continue to do so as AI evolves over the next 5 or 10 years.
Many people feel their jobs are going to be take by AI but in reality I only see it as a evolution. The evolution being people that know how to use the AI to level up their jobs. For example in marketing you used to have to crunch a bunch of data streams and try to figure out what the hell was going on. Now with AI tools you can quickly run full scale reports and comparisons on the fly which would take you days if not weeks to do before.
These on the fly calculations allow the working to make better and more information decisions and faster. So you can see if a business has these tools and the skill set of worker they quickly 7x or better the competition stuck with old school reporting.
Another big area for a company is Apple who's been a little slow on the AI front (Like always Apple is normally always behind the times and then charges huge bucks for something everyone else already had for a year lol) Siri could very well get a major AI update in the next year or two with the next iPhone product setting apple up for some explosive growth as well.
The Battle Is On
Over the last few months we have seen the good AI brings us but also increasing bad. Many are worried that AI will be able to hack and within another year or two wont be able to be recalled once released. But is that really any different from any other computer virus?
The DOD Department of Defense has outlined AI good vs bad. What it sounds like is exactly what we have had for a while now already. Computer viruses vs anit virus. Of course this will just be larger scale now and turn into AI vs AI.
It's clear the AI of this type is going to have major backing and support which overall means massive funds flowing into it. If you know of the defense contractor stock that is focusing on AI it might be a very good bet over the next few years.
It's clear that this will be a new war front for every country and a big reason why we have seen one of the biggest shifts ever over seas in terms of electronic components and the increased defense of Taiwan one of the largest chip makers in the world.
On top of this we have seen more and more negatives of AI come out including the Taylor Swift drama on X last night. But it's something that needs to come to light and be understood that AI can be used for a lot of bad and most likely will be used for bad. It only takes a single bad actor to do a whirl wind of damage.
Regulations, rules and laws can only go so far but what it will take is for alternative AI on the "good" side to counteract the bad. That market is going to be massive!
