Such paroles are not uncommon. Of course, it often depends on the nature of murder, identities of killer and/or victims. Generally speaking, if a crime is abhorrent or high profile, chances for parole are usually slim to none. If the killer or victim are ordinary people, it is more likely that the parole will be given.

How it would play out in this case is anyone's guess.
