Stacking and saving HBD or Hive Backed Dollars the Hive stablecoin is a fantastic means of saving with 20% APR.
Hello Hello Savers
It's Saturday well actually it is the third Saturday of the month and I am now back in the habit of checking on my savings goals for Hive and making my contribution to the Saturday Savers community.
What is Saturday Savers?
Saturday Savers Club is for anyone who wants to save in any currency for any purpose. The Club is a supportive group of people who meet up around the weekly post, usually on a Saturday but occasionally on a Sunday, to share tips and techniques and have fun in the process.
I won't say anymore except guide you to Saturday Savers Club with @susie-saver | Year 4: 2024 Launch and FAQs | Everyone Welcome | EDS for Comments
So basically we make two goals. @shanibeer tabulates them all, and every week a post is made by @eddie-earner with all kinds of info and that is where we comment our progress or refer to our update of progress in a post.
Plus of course congratulating and encouraging fellow Hivians.
I am not sure on how I will be tabulating my progress on my goals this year,so in the meantime this is what you are getting!
And talking of getting.... I need to get another coffee, can't be working with no coffee.
Coffee gets my mind working, what gets yours going?
UPDATE ON MY SAVINGS GOALS
My Primary Goal ~ Become an InLeo lion
The main one is to become a Lion! This means having a Leo Power of 15,000. I started at 7.5k so that means doubling it.
This means having a staked Leo bag of 15,000 tokens, this was roughly double what I started with which was 7528 LP and now I am 7742 LP.
I had 203 LP increase.
This was die to powering up 150 Leo for LPUD, also starting to power u p5 daily leo.
Additionally .... 👇
Yes Leo Ads revenue has kicked in, and the first distribution was on Thursday and sent to wallets as staked Leo!
You can find all the jist in here but if you have 500 LP and have made a post from the InLeo UI and have a minimum of 200 views then you may well be eligible for some rewards such as I got.
Secondary Goal Saving 700 HBD
I can't stress how much fun this is, especially if like me you are so not a saver!
This year I intend to have a goal of 700 HBD.
My reasons for choosing HBD as the currency is twofold:
1 In these turbulent time, putting savings into a stablecoin you know you are minimising your risk against market dips.
One HBD will always be a dollars worth of Hive, not matter what happens to the price of Hive.
2 Currently we receive 20% APR on our savings!
The reason I wrote 700 is that I will participate in the penny savings challenge. and with accrued interest I will hit 700 HBD.
That is the chart you can follow, and you can see I should be at 2.10 HBD
To keep things interesting, I am saving this HBD in my secret account @tengogaming however as you can see I need to transfer into my actual Savings!
By doing the penny savings challenge you will accumlate 671 of the token you are saving. As I chose HBD the interest accrued will top it upto 700 HBD.
Token Goals
I have not decided which tokens to track from Hive this year.
Last year was fun, but also time consuming tracking them. I am however getting ready to launch my 4 for 24 challenge!
The Bitcoin ETF drama did delay it somewhat.
HP fun goals
But for the sake of fun, I am going to make two HP goals!
- Main account (@tengolotodo) HP growth from 7370 to 10750 HP, that is a growth of 3380 which is 65 HP per week.
This week it is sitting at 7521. (+85). This is 20 above my goal. - Alt account (@tengolotodo.leo) HP growth from 911 to 2000 HP, that is a growth of 1089 which is 21 HP per week.
This week it is sitting at 938. (+31). This is 10 above my goal.
The two HP goals are slighty ahead!
4 for 2024 or my 4 for 24!
This will be reported seprately.
Have you joined Saturday Savers this year!
Do let me know if you have.
If you haven't and want more info just drop me a message in the comments and in the meantime have a great year!
