[WE-254] - Foodgasm

Foodgasm!
This is what should be felt at every bite of delight, delicious and satisfying.

Going by the list and judging from this, you can tell just exactly what my choice would be, and that is "how to cook at an expert level".
What dish leaves you longing and salivating for more?
What dish leaves you dumbfounded at such a taste of delight?
Making such delicacies on a daily basis would be a big win for me.
Growing up, in the company of great cooks, I never felt the need to explore this skill, I was limited by the little opportunities given to me by my parents when it comes to kitchen activities
The only thing I did best was doing the dishes after every meal.
Mom never permitted us to cook, perhaps at the time, we didn't come of age or she just couldn't sit around and watch us do the cooking.
At some point I felt she didn't want us to waste her ingredients and food stuff trying to explore our cooking skills. It was always her place to do all the cooking, with little or no help sometimes.
Learning was a little difficult because if one isn't given a chance to try something out, they can't get better at it.
It wasn't enough only staying in the kitchen and watching mom cook or do all the cooking with me rendering little help with the cleaning up and passing of ingredients to be added to the food, washing and arranging the dishes etc.

I wanted to be given a chance to cook too, in fact I had ideas, recipes and methods I felt would make a particular meal more delicious, the process less tedious and time consuming and way easier than what I was seeing my mom do, yet she never awarded me the chance to bring these things to life or put those ideas to use, so I kept waiting and growing until the longing was no longer there.
I felt relaxed and comfortable with the way things turned out, I never did the kitchen activities any longer, I became more distanced and drawn away from the kitchen.
I watched mom struggle with all the cookings herself even on days she was extremely tired, yet, still very adamant about leaving the kitchen for me to do the cooking in my style.
Most of the times, I offered to do the cooking but she just wouldn't let me or agree.
And on days she grants me the permission to, I might not be in my best mood, and end up ruining the taste of the meal most of the times.

So if I were to be given an opportunity to choose between learning a new language, playing musical instrument or even learning first aid and expertise cooking, I definitely would opt for the last thing on my list.
I want to have and attain some level of cooking experience, such that leaves people yearning for more of my delicacies.
I am not a terrible cook, but I'm not also an expert cook, I just know how to prepare some meal properly though still lacking in some as well.
So without much thoughts, I would love to settle for cooking at expert level.
This way I don't have to always worry about the taste of my meals cause I would trust myself enough and my food to give people foodgasm and leave them demanding for more.

I love cooking, in fact I've been doing it since I was very young because my mother didn't like it, so we traded some household chores... but at this point in my life, let's just say I'm a little bored of it... but I know that cooking feels super nice and enjoyable... I hope you can develop your skills further.

Your mom didn't like that you loved cooking? That's unimaginable.
Some parents would love to have their kids being experts in cooking and grooming them once they find out their passion for cooking.
Although I also understand that some parents wouldn't just sit back and watch their kids make a mess of their kitchen just to satisfy their cooking passion lol.

Thank you so much Adaluna for coming around and communicating with me through my post.

Yes, yes... Mom was delighted that I liked cooking... that way she got rid of it... 😅... the complete opposite of your mom, who still won't let you cook... because your mom definitely loves cooking. That's why I was saying that cooking is getting a little boring... hahaha. You're welcome, have a great Sunday.

Lol, this is funny though 😂😁😉
Still feels good to know all the same
Have a great Sunday as well
