RE: Adding sugar to beans

in The Ink Welllast year

Woah !!! I am ready to taste anything but I do have a problem with too much sweetness. And bitterness too . Is it common to add sugar to beans? Maybe as a sweet dish. Like we have a sweet dish called "gajar ka halwa" which is carrot and sugar, very tasty for people who have a sweet tooth. Not my cut of tea though :)

Still in my house if I took a portion of food I had to finish it if I did not want to be punished. That habit has got into my bones and typically I try and eat it all even if I have to have a lot of water to swallow it :D.

Good post, it made me smile and reminded me of scenes from my childhood. Cheers from this #dreemerforlife.

Carrot and sugar?
That's going to be excessively sugary 🤣.
Over here, adding sugar to beans is not common but a few people do it and they feel very comfortable.

For food wastage;
I'm my house, we were used to wasting of food and that's because we have a farm. But that home I lived and tasted that beans, they frown at food wastage
