Galletones Orititi | Biscuits Orititi Aunque parezca mentira en lo que llevo de vida nunca había visto en vivo y directo el procedimiento para elaborar galletas. En cuanto a postres en mi hogar la prioridad ha estado centrada en tortas y helados caseros de frutas y manjares tradicionales, pero nunca la elaboración de galletas.
Believe it or not, in my life I had never seen live and direct the procedure to make cookies. As for desserts in my home the priority has been focused on homemade fruit cakes and ice cream and traditional delicacies, but never the elaboration of cookies.
Mi familia es gente de la ciudad, por tanto, hemos aprendido a solventar algunas necesidades yéndonos por lo más fácil, y la solución para disfrutar galletas de distintos olores, colores y sabores, han sido comprándolas. Quizá por ese facilismo nunca tuve la inquietud de aprender a elaborarlas, a pesar de que crecí en un ambiente donde preparar alimentos es cultura.
My family is from the city, so we have learned to solve some needs by going for the easiest way, and the solution to enjoy cookies of different smells, colors and flavors has been to buy them. Perhaps because of this simplicity I never had the desire to learn how to make them, even though I grew up in an environment where preparing food is culture.
Como en las nuevas generaciones todo cambia, es así como la extensión de mi vida, mi amada sobrina, a través de los consejos de su papi y mami quienes practican el arte de la cocina, le inculcaron a la niña el hábito de hacer postres que le sirve para su propio deleite. Hace unos días yo necesitaba hacer un obsequio, y mi pequeña me escucho cuando hablaba con su papá sobre mi inquietud y ella enseguida me sugirió ¡Titi lleva galletas!
As in the new generations everything changes, this is how the extension of my life, my beloved niece, through the advice of her daddy and mommy who practice the art of cooking, instilled in the girl the habit of making desserts that serve for her own delight. A few days ago I needed to make a gift, and my little girl listened to me when I was talking to her daddy about my concern and she immediately suggested Titi brings cookies!
Eso me pareció genial, entonces le solicité que me enseñara a hacerlas, ella de inmediato saco su recetario, compramos los ingredientes, y así dulce y amorosamente a mis 47 años aprendí a hacer galletas bajo la guía de mi amada sobrina, decidiendo ellas llamarlas galletas Orititi.
That seemed great to me, so I asked her to teach me how to make them, she immediately took out her recipe book, we bought the ingredients, and so sweetly and lovingly at 47 years old I learned to make cookies under the guidance of my beloved niece, deciding to call them Orititi cookies.
Galletas de mantequilla - 2 huevos
- 2 y media taza de harina (350gr)
- 1 cucharadita de vainilla
- 1 cucharadita de polvo de hornear
- 100gr de mantequilla
- 1 taza de azucar (200gr)
Butter cookies- 2 eggs
- 2 and a half cups of flour (350gr) (350gr)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 100gr butter
- 1 cup sugar (200gr)

De este modo comenzamos | This is how we start: This is how we start Vertimos en un mol la mantequilla y azúcar, integrado muy bien de forma envolvente.
Pour the butter and sugar into a mold and mix well in an enveloping way.
Luego le agregamos la vainilla y los huevos para seguir integrado los ingredientes.
Then add the vanilla and the eggs to continue integrating the ingredients.
Quedando la mezcla líquida, procedimos a agregar la harina integrada con el polvo de hornear, que poco a poco fuimos colocando sobre la mezcla liquida con un cernidor para evitar se crearán grumos.
Once the mixture was liquid, we proceeded to add the flour integrated with the baking powder, which we gradually placed over the liquid mixture with a sifter to avoid creating lumps.
Seguimos mezclando de forma envolvente hasta hacer una gran masa que llevamos al refrigerador por 20min.
We continue mixing in an enveloping way until we make a big dough that we take to the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
Pasado los 20 minutos, sobre una losa agregamos harina y allí por parte fuimos colocando la masa extendiéndola con un rodillito improvisado de madera.
After 20 minutes, we added flour on a slab and there we placed the dough, spreading it with an improvised wooden rolling pin.
El molde que seleccionamos fue una estrella como símbolo de superación y luz para los que recibirían el obsequio. Poco a poco fuimos estirando la masa con unos 0,5 milímetros de grosor, llevándolas a las grandes bandejas para hornear, que amablemente me presto mi hermano.
The mold we selected was a star as a symbol of overcoming and light for those who would receive the gift. Little by little we stretched the dough about 0.5 millimeters thick, taking them to the large baking trays that my brother kindly lent me.
En las bandejas cernimos harina y colocamos las estrellas de forma separadas para evitar que se pegaran al momento de hornearse.
On the trays we sift flour and place the stars separately to prevent them from sticking together during baking.
El aroma de galletas recién hechas es exquisito, provocando comer alguna de inmediato, pero igual aguantamos ganas y dejamos reposar. Al estar listas les limpie el exceso de harina, las cuales empaque de 2 en 2 en unas bolsitas que tenía muy bien guardo para alguna ocasión especial.
The aroma of freshly baked cookies is exquisite, causing us to eat some of them immediately, but we still had to wait and let them rest. When they were ready I cleaned off the excess flour, and packed them 2 by 2 in little bags that I had very well kept for a special occasion.
Afortunadamente también guardaba algunas impresiones hechas en cartulina con el logotipo de la Escuela Venezolana de Biodanza Sistema Rolando Toro, siendo esto muy significativo para el motivo del obsequio que deseaba ofrecer.
Fortunately I also kept some prints made on cardboard with the logo of the Venezuelan School of Biodanza Rolando Toro System, being this very significant for the reason of the gift I wanted to offer.
Este obsequio de galletones lo hice para juntos a mis compañeros de la 8va cohorte de la escuela venezolana de Biodanza, dar la bienvenida a los nuevos (9na cohorte), siendo esto algo que tradicionalmente se hacer al cerrarse una cohorte e iniciarse otra, es por eso que el 21 de enero 2024 hicimos tal homenaje, con una dinámica, cantos y sencillos obsequios para nuestros nuevos hermanitos biodanzantes en formación.
I made this gift of cookies together with my colleagues of the 8th cohort of the Venezuelan School of Biodanza, to welcome the new ones (9th cohort), being this something that is traditionally done at the closing of a cohort and the beginning of another, that is why on January 21, 2024 we made such a tribute, with a dynamic and simple gifts for our new biodancer brothers in training.
Lo mágico y bello fue lo que todos aportamos llenos de amor, dulzura y creatividad, momento en el que los presentes recibieron y disfrutaron con agrado y sorpresa lo que preperamos para ellos.
The magical and beautiful thing was what we all contributed full of love, sweetness and creativity, a moment in which those present received and enjoyed with pleasure and surprise what we had prepared for them.
