Hello everyone, this is a vlog of me preparing my Favourite food, banku and garden eggs stew with my brother who claims to be a chef doing a voiceover of the process.
I’ve mentioned banku a number of times here and each time I do, people ask me what it is. It’s one of the most convenient foods in Ghana as it can be eaten with anything; stew, soup, pepper. So today you get to see what banku is and how it’s even prepared.
This video was made the last time I went inside my mom’s kitchen. I don’t know for other people but for my very African mother, she doesnt like it when I enter her kitchen with cameras and all so I had to bribe her.
I also had to bribe her to use her special pan for the stew because there’s something magical about it. I can’t explain. And oh she says it’s older than me and doesnt play with it at all.
Also, the special ingredient for banku is love. Trust me, I learned how to cook banku when I was 12 years. If you cook with anger, hatred and any other unpleasant emotions, it won’t come out great.
Enjoy the video.
