Food has the ability to move from mere sustenance and become a source of joy, comfort, and connection. Letting out my inner foodie in me has been a journey of exploring new recipes and discovering new methods of cooking, with each dish I prepare and a beautiful experience gained from the restaurant, it adds a new layer to my relationship with food. Recently, I've found myself attracted to the delectable offerings of Chicken Republic, one special restaurant that has captured my taste buds and ignited my passion for good food.

A Love Affair with Local dish

Growing up as an African child, I developed a deep appreciation for local dishes that were not only flavorful but also rich in tradition and culture. In my family we consume mostly local dishes because my grandparents are farmers. I also grew to become one keeping the family's legacy. These local dishes are from delicious soups made with fresh and raw ingredients to spicy stews, you can't have a place of my country's local meal and fail to fall in love with it. As I ventured out into the world, I carried this love for local dishes with me, seeking out restaurants that could recreate the authentic flavors of home.

Discovering Good Mama Pot

It was during one sunny afternoon in campus, I didn't have my breakfast at home due to my exams which was scheduled for 7 o'clock in the morning after the exams I had another one, when I was done I was very hungry and needed to eat so badly that I stumbled upon Good Mama Pot, a local restaurant that knows what it's means to make local dish, while i was passing I discovered a lot of people eating there and a good number of them were elderly people, it's was obvious that the meal were local because young people like me don't really like local dishes but i think I'm exception to that, i was Intrigued by the invitation on the billboard and mouth watering aroma I perceived in that environment, so I decided to step inside and explore its menu. I ordered for white soup, made with Cocoyam. From the moment I took my first swallow, I knew I had found something special, a culinary gem that would soon become a regular haunt 😁😁😁.

My Relationship with Food

My relationship with food is one I don't joke with, yes too I don't joke with good food, that is why I try my best to make my own meal, but if I can't prepare the meal for myself I will have to visit a good restaurant that knows how to prepare local dishes well. reverence and appreciation for those who can make good food because food has the ability to speak love and nourish the body. My relationship with food It's me savoring every moment, cherishing every good flavor, and creating lasting memories with each local meal I eat. In Good Mama Pot I've found a culinary partner that understands and celebrates the joy of good food.

In conclusion, my relationship with food is a journey of discovery, with Good Mama Pot serving as my trusted guide and companion. With each swallow, I'm reminded of the simple pleasures of life and the joy that good food brings. So this me embracing the foodie within and savoring every delicious moment I have to eat one meal at a time.
