As you might have known, Muslims across the globe observe their fasting in the month of Ramadan and this year, our Ramadan fell in the month of March.
For me, I’m always happy to experience the month of Ramadan in good health because it’s recognised as the holy month and not everyone gets to experience it every year. So, I count myself as lucky. I wouldn’t say this Ramadan was an easy as I expected . Having to juggle fasting during the day with work and having other stuff to do at night even though I’m exhausted. In all, I’d say it was good because I was able to accomplish a lot while building my faith.
As you might also know, we mark the end of our fasting period with our Eid celebration which is like Christmas for we Muslims, technically.😅 In Ghana, people pray either on the Eid day or the day after, it all depends on when you started your fast. For me, I started my fast on the first day and so I celebrated Eid on Wednesday which was two days ago. Also, in Islam Eid is celebrated for three days so I’m still in the celebration mood.😅
Today, I just want to give you a peek of what I’ve been up to the past few days. It’s not much, but I still want to share.
Over the past four years, I’ve spent all my Eid away from home with my friends in school. It wasn’t as fun as it used to be when I celebrated it at home but you know home is home. This year, I find myself is a totally different place which is neither home or school. So, I was just expecting my Eid to be as boring as ever. But God works in mysterious ways. Anyways , I’m happy to tell you my Eid wasn’t as boring as I expected it to be.
We usually pray our Eid prayers early in the morning at around 7 to 8 am. We ladies are always know for showing up late and i was out to break that narrative for that day. I was at the Eid grounds as early as 7:00am on the dot. I didn’t know the place for the prayers so I got missing along the line but I still made it there eventually. I was one of the first people to arrive and it was amazing watching people from all walks of life trooping in to pray.
We finally finished our prayers at around 9:00am and I made my way home. I didn’t really have any plans for the day so I stayed indoors and ordered some food.
The next day, it rained so I decided to stay in bed all day and lazy about.😂😂
Today, my sugar daddy called this morning and was like ‘dress up, I’m taking you somewhere’. All I could say was ‘Yes Sir’ and got ready.😂 I didn’t know where we were going but I sure looked pretty.😂
We went to a secret location which I’m not going to share with you because I don’t trust you guys.😂😂 I had so much fun because I planned on spending my day indoors as usual but look what God did.😂
Then my sugar daddy was like , ‘buy whatever you want, I’ll pay’ and that’s exactly what I did.😂😂 He doesn’t want you guys to know him so I’m hiding his face.
Hmm, this is where the day gets bad. After I ordered and ate everything I wanted , this man asked for the bill and asked me to pay. As a big woman that I am, I payed. But it pained me deep down in my heart.😂😂 Anyways, at the end of the day I had fun and that’s all that matters.
So, this is my Eid in review and I loved every bit of it.
Enjoy the Eid dump!😅
