Food is one of the essential needs of man, we cannot do without them, but we have different kinds of delicacies, some are time consuming in the process of preparing them, while others are the one we called fast food here, because it's not time consuming, but anyone we go for still serve the same purpose which is to settle the problem of the stomach (hunger). There are some level of hunger that won't permit to go through long procedures in preparing a meal, so that is where we have to explore the short cut.
Hunger is not the respecter of any man, when it knocks at your door you have no option but to surrender, if you refuse to surrender you will be the one to suffer it alongside the stomach.
Our daily struggles in life are for our basic needs which are food, shelter and clothing, then every other thing can follow, as one of the basic needs that does not understand speech nor sign language, when it calls it needs to be attended to urgently, and if delayed all your body will have to suffer it 😂, there are many delicious delicacies that are not time consuming and has low budget, because whatever we are doing we have to consider the budget for that, some of the fast food here are noodles, spaghetti or macaroni, rice etc. but often time i get tired of eating these ones, so I will come up with my own recipes still with low budget. There is this particular meal i like so much and it's plantain porridge, it's one of the fastest food I like to prepare.
Ingredients needed
Unripe Plantain
Fish, crayfish
Palm oil
Onion
Granded pepper powder
Maggi
Vegetable
Preparing plantain porridge is quite simple and it's not time consuming, although different people have different recipes for it, but this is my own recipes.
I will begin by washing my plantain with the pills in clean water to avoid sand.
Proceeded to remove the plantain pills.
Wash the unpill plantain thoroughly again.
Dice it in square shape into the pot.
Add your well prepared roasted fish, add my knor cube, salt, pepper, crayfish, and other spices as desired, periwinkle is optional, and finally add clean water that would help soften the plantain, put it on the fire, and allow it to cook.
Dice your onion, and use palm oil in frying (palm oil) it, pour the fried onions and oil into the plantain that is well cooked, stir it, garnish it with either pumpkin or cents leaves, stir it, allow it to cook for some second.
Food is ready, served hot, it's always so delicious.
I choose this recipe because most times I get tired of eating rice, spaghetti etc, so I have to also look for another traditional meal that is of low budget.
If I don't want to settle for other fast and easy food, I normally go for this, and it will give me the exact nutrient I desire except for carbohydrate, because carbohydrate is what I take more often, so that is why I always go for traditional food because I am an African woman.
