We popped into our favourite café this morning for a bite to eat. Food always tastes better when someone else cooks it, right? The café is called S42 after our local postcode. The staff are always very welcoming here, and treat you like an old friend. It's a comfy, cosy place where you feel totally at ease, even if you eat on your own.
You can choose items off the menu or look at today's specials on the blackboard. The staff are also very open to you creating your own meal. The café is very dog friendly with a dog station offering treats and water for your dog. You can also reserve a table if you wish.
We chose the window seat which was reserved for someone for 1.30 pm. We called in during the morning so we had plenty of time to finish eating before the next people arrived.
We firstly ordered a decaffeinated latte, and a cappuccino with oat milk while we looked at the menu.
We then ordered avocado and egg on toast with bacon and a vegetarian fry up. As usual, the food was very tasty, nicely presented all at a reasonable price. The coffee I personally think is the best in the area. I can understand why the café has been voted in the top 50 cafe's in the UK at the Small Business Awards, along with being voted the best in our area by customers.
