Perch is my favorite, but I also really like Great Lakes Whitefish. Walleye is good too and panfish like Bluegill is tasty though usually harder to get all the bones out.
I just googled perch, i remember i had it once in a hotel, safe to say i did not like it🙈, but to each his own i guess!
You must have had something different because if you like catfish you would almost have to like perch.
