These days my attention was again almost totally occupied by the Duolingo app. I am not sure if it changed for everyone at the same time (I read smth on Reddit that they were introducing it gradually for a few months) but for me officially hearts were changed with energy two or three days ago. And at first, I was really disappointed, I understood it like they are pushing us even more to buy a premium package, because energy of 25 decreases after each answer, so you answer correctly, go to the next question and then -1 on the energy line goes down. So basically you can't do two or three lessons in a row without recharging energy in between.
Now, after a few days, I see that maybe it is even better thing than hearts, because it doesn't seem like there is a limit of watching ads to collect as before. Sometimes it doesn't even show the whole video, it just gives you plus 5 energy right away when you click watch ad.
Anyway, I'm still learning Turkish, I mean learning (I've been learning it with TV shows since the first time "When the Leaves Fall" was broadcasted here on TV, hihi 😁), that's like spontaneous collecting of language, without effort, so the result of that is that I understand a loooot, but speak little of it. xD For a long time now, I watch their series on the computer because on TV they are usually poor quality, so I always choose exactly what fits me on the internet. But I love when grandma watches TV and I walk through the room and translate her a few sentences like it's nothing and every time she stays amazed and asks me: "How do you knooow that?"
Hehe, well grandma, it's not nuclear physics, it's language, beautiful, smooth, easy to remember just like Serbian. ❤️
A few months ago I tried a bit of German, just to see how it is and I always joke something like When Turks and I conquer Germania, we will need to know the language, hihi. German is also beautiful to me, but hard, really hard to learn when you don't have a base! Heavy metal band Accept is also beautiful! - one of my favorites.
These days I washed 4-5 washing machines full of clothes, in breaks between Duolingo. xD We had a lot in laundry baskets and these next days are holidays and we won't wash till Monday. Just enough time for me to manage to fold and organize all that laundry. Besides that, during the day I would always go for a walk to the pond, take coffee or cocoa with me and throw the fishing hook with bread (mostly unsuccessfully, there was only one small carp which I of course returned to the pond). In the evening we were going to play cards at friends’ house, rummy of course, and my fiancé won two nights in a row, yea! There are four of us and we usually play until we fill one page in the notebook, so like 6 or 7 rounds I think. Meanwhile, while we all dream of HAND, we also catch some basketball games on TV with the corner of the eye and we almost always eat and snack everything possible. Jasmina will make us fat, that is for sure. Yesterday she made us pizza, real Serbian one, with all kinds of smoked meat on top and good juicy thick dough, just how we all like it. 🍕
When I'm already talking about food, I took some pictures here. My breakfast, when we are not fasting (Orthodox), almost always goes around the same things: eggs, cheese, buckwheat flour, yogurt... some salad and Voila! :D You can see, once I added capers (I love them a lot) and once my mom's phenomenal spicy carrot salad which she makes as winter food and pasteurizes in jars. Sooo delicious!
Oh yes, and ladybugs, they totally stole the show these days. There are hundreds of them, since our rooms and bathroom are on the south side where the Autumn sun hits strongly these days, of course there are milion ladybugs, attached to the windows, patiently waiting for us to host them. I caught this one to be my model for a photoshooting, if she could sneak uninvited into the bathroom, she can also respect me to do a few pictures. :D After that, I guess she went outside to her business, me to mine and as you can see it was a super pleasant collaboration. They are so cute, aren't they?
So these days I was all between learning Turkish, fighting with energy on Duolingo, washing tons of clothes and playing cards till midnight. I'll see how long this Duolingo enthusiasm will last, maybe until the next update changes everything again. This one was nice, I have to admit.
Now I'll go make myself some tea (or maybe cocoa again, who knows, probably cocoa 😍) and straight to the pond, so I can I’ll be reading you guys from there. It's so sunny outside, lots of vitamin D floating around, waiting to be caught.
