Somehow, adults and children alike, we were reluctant for the school holiday to end. However, reality is reality. Everyone got to go back to daily routine. Before that, we had some moments of getting together. First one with my brother's side of family, second one for the cousins to get together.
Double Celebration at Butter Kaya!
I wanted to give my brother a birthday treat last time but he was too busy, hence I told him I would postpone it to the day celebrating together with my son. Haha, one month delay!
He chose Butter Kaya due to the variety of food, can suit both young and old. It is situated nearby where I stayed.
Firstly, of course the cake! We got a cake to be shared with everyone. Just one cake was enough because we were having our own meal also. It was called 'Dirty Chocolate' and mind you this dirty was no joke, it was so delicious..not too sweet yet perfectly rich chocolate layered with mousse cream. Yums!
Both of the boys ordered 'roti John' cheesy beef and what a nice choice, since we were celebrating both of them that night. My brother had been a very great uncle to my son. Since birth, I noticed he loved my son very much. Everyday must took a baby photo of him..now that both had grown up even more, I adore both of them.
I ordered black pepper beef omurice and it was so delicious. My husband ordered salted egg chicken chop omurice, wow, mind-blown!
A group photo together.
And then...
My sister-in-law said she wanted to give us all ice-cream treat so off we went to the next door... Inside Scoop!
***It was a night full of laughter and joy, especially the children. Family gathering is so meaningful to all of us considering our packed schedule.
Cousins Getting Together
My nephew had been asking to overnight at our house and finally the day had arrived. After dinner at in-laws, he followed us home. What a joy to have him with us. The house got merrier.💗
They spent time playing Roblox together before went to sleep.
The next day was playing Uno cards, role-play shooting around the house, even reminiscing the good old memories together.
Later on, I brought them for lunch nearby and again, they had some great chitchat time because I told them no phones allowed during lunch time. Lol...
They talked about how the school holiday ended so fast and the nephew was reluctant to go home. Guess what, we extended another night for him to stay with us and he was overjoyed. Still, time passed so fast, and soon we are going to say 'Hi' to daily routine.🫠
