Steamboat soup pot at home for lunch & dinner out on a public holiday

in Daily Blog10 months ago

On the recent Monday which was a public holiday due to celebrating Muharram, the boys and I had decided to go for a badminton play in the evening. We were extremely missing the man of the house who is currently working at Philippines. Okay, so before we went out in the evening, let's cook again something fast and easy.

Haidilao Steamboat Soup Pot!

I still had a pack of steamboat pork belly, some pork fillet and some minced pork. And the pack of pre-made Haidilao soup made things easy for me.

The pack consisted of a pack of soup seasoning powder which was made of a few of herbs grinded into powder form. And a pack of hawthorn slices and goji berries. Just added everything into a pot and boiled it and it turned into a super herbal-powered pot of soup.

I added in some vegetables, added in the marinated minced pork and marinated pork slices as well as the pork belly.

After booking for about 30 minutes, the soup was done! It was so flavourful and delicious.

The pot of soup was for the boys to eat with rice. So, I also cooked the leftover lamb shoulders in the freezer for myself, for my lunch and dinner.

After enjoying our simple lunch, I did some house chores while the boys helping around a little as well as having some relaxing time playing mobile phone, off we went to badminton play!

Badminton play then dinner

We managed to book a court from 5pm-6pm. The boys' stamina were way better than mine, haha. They could play non-stop for one hour, while I needed some breaks for drink.

After satisfying one-hour, we went to our favourite place for dinner, at Restoran Kari Kepala Ikan. Due to budgeting, we did not order satay but we ordered one cheese naan, two fried egg, one chicken soy sauce and one beef red sauce, to be shared among two of them. I ate a few pieces of the cheese naan since I had lamb shoulder at home later.

The boys are really growing up and can eat more nowadays. It is a joy to see them eat, play and grow. Thank you God for providence.
