On third day of Chinese New Year, we went to Mum's side of relatives which is located at Selangor, are not very far from us, it is at Selayang. Again, there were so many things happening at the same time when more than 5 families were present, this time, I totally forgot to take a group photo of us. Everyone was so busy catching up, it was once a year thing. We reached Aunt's (Mum's sister) house at around 10:30am.
Lunch at nearby Kopitiam
We were all quite exhausted after the socialising, since it had been few days of socialising, so we just wanted to have a quick lunch nearby before we headed home. My Aunt recommended this Kopitiam, so let's!
I ordered a roasted pork belly to be shared with my son. My sister ordered a pasta fish and chip. I did not take photos of everyone's food because I was too tired to move around. 😬
My parents ordered a braised noodle and a soup noodle after all the snacking at Aunt's place. My sister-in-law ordered a spicy prawn noodles.
And all of us went home to rest, rest and rest...
Dinner at two places
Towards evening, my husband has a meeting with his cousin, so off the boys to follow them. I stayed at home to help my Mum in the cooking. Finally, she got to cook for us, her dream came true. I ordered a roasted duck, a stir fry vegetables, a sweet sour pork and salted egg squid via online delivery and she cooked the rest: Haidilao steamboat soup, roasted pork belly and a fu-chuk wrap with minced pork and yam.
While my husband and boys hung out with Wong's side of cousins at a place called Sama Square. I also got to join them for awhile after my dinner at home, although by the time I reached, everyone had dismissed except one cousin of my husband's..so I got to chit chat a little bit with them.
At the end of the night, everyone was still my house for the gathering. The night was still young to the children although the adults were yawning non-stop. Lol.... All the children got to screen time together, play cards together, even went down at lobby to play some firecrackers.
