Greetings, dear hivers and friends of #dailyBlog. Here I am with you again, wishing you a great day. My day was as normal as possible and I'll tell you a little about it.
I left home early for work; I just had to deliver some invoices and it didn't take me more than two hours. Since my husband didn't have to work today, he accompanied me on my commute. That gives me tremendous peace of mind, since I can go contemplating the beautiful landscapes and I am not alone, at least for this week until everything gets back to normal after these elections.
When we finished, we decided to go to the La Rinconada sector, which is surrounded by the “Los Micos” hill. I wanted to see it and also show you this beauty.

As I walked up the main street of La Rinconada, I could see that they have a chapel with the name “Santísima Cruz del Río”. At that moment I realized that La Rinconada had its own hidden treasures. Without thinking twice, I stopped to see the small chapel which, at the top of the entrance, had a Celtic Cross. Its entrance is in the shape of an arch and, above the arch, it had the name of the chapel.

The chapel is painted light blue with details highlighted in purple. Upon entering, I could see that they had a large Celtic cross and, next to it, two images of the Virgin of the Valley, the patron saint of the island, one smaller than the other. On its windows, inside, there were some roses drawn in purple and gold. The locals always make a chapel in their locality; I had never seen this one since I don't usually pass by here.

I continued my tour through La Rinconada to look for the best place from where I could appreciate the Mico hills, as I had been told their name when I entered La Rinconada by a local I found on the road. I have a friend who lives in this area, but when I passed by her house, she had the door firmly closed and that is a sign that she was not there.

I arrived at a point where I could appreciate the hill very well and, to tell the truth, the view is beautiful. I like these encounters with nature, they give me so much peace. In La Rinconada there are several points where water is collected from the mountains and many people go there to get their drinking water, but everything was closed and I had no access to the place.

Nearby was the Antolín del Campo Minor Baseball Stadium. I have to make another visit to see if I can find it open, but one of the beautiful things about this stadium is how nice it looks having Los Micos hill behind it. It's inspiring to see it, I guess even for the little ones who train there.

As far as my eyes can see, the stadium is very well kept. At the gate of the stadium there were some children to whom I asked why it was closed and they told me that these days it is closed for the elections and they do not want anyone to break it. I was amused and happy to see how two little kids with a great sense of belonging were the guardians of the stadium where they train to be future baseball players.
