I prepared Pumpkin puree

in Plant Power (Vegan)15 days ago

Hello, my vegan lovers, it's a wonderful evening and I am bringing you one of the healthy recipes you would always enjoy because it's not just healthy but delicious.

Pumpkin puree is not a type of food that everyone knows how to enjoy. My friend was asking me what I meant when I told him I was going home to prepare pumpkin puree, but I will tell you that I really enjoyed it.

I will tell you the story behind this meal at the end of this content.

It doesn't require many ingredients but gives the body enough nutrients with fewer carbohydrates.

Ingredients

Two big balls of pumpkin
One teaspoonful of palm oil
A pinch of salt
1 spoonful of dry pepper you can also decide to use fresh pepper.

Preparation process

I cut the pumpkin balls into four pieces and placed them in my big pot, then added water and allowed it to cook for 45 minutes, I kept close eyes on it because I don't like it too soft, unfortunately, it still became too soft, I didn't know it was a different species of pumpkin.

After 45 minutes I turned off the gas and allowed it to cool down a bit before I move to the next level.

I drained out the water.

After it cooled down, I scraped out the seeds and the outer part, then I scraped out the inner side into a bowl

After scraping them out the inner part, I added the palm oil, salt, pepper and I mashed everything together.

After mashing and mixing it together, it looked yummy and I really enjoyed it.

This is a very good meal, while growing up pumpkin puree was one of our best meals in our family, most afternoon when there was no food in the house my mom will tell us to go to the farm and get some pumpkin boil them.

So tell me in comment section if you have ever enjoyed pumpkin puree for first time.

One of the best local dishes that's more healthy than anything. Do you know it's good for one who has glucose in blood. This has never been my food until my Mom prepared it in a certain way then I fell in love with it.

Yes I heard so too, I also heard it's very good for weight loss journey, I really enjoyed it.

You made it well that's the reason you enjoyed. I remember a close relative who does know how to make it. She threw away the edible ones and prepared the waste.

Awooooooo, I can't try that because I enjoyed for years in the village

Hewu, you've taken me back to the good old days. My mom usually add it to asuru asụ ọka. Very tasty. Eat this with akidi and you'll ask for more. Very nutritious meal.

This looks natural and simple to prepare. I thought it was African salad from the picture. I've never tasted it, but I'm sure it would taste good. Plus, it's very healthy, so it's worth exploring.

Thanks for sharing.
