The hing that is sold outside the country can be different. Sometimes it is of export quality, while other times it has nothing to do with the real thing. If you send its photo, I can tell you what it is. The authentic Hing has a strong taste and typically comes in a paste form like dough, although some varieties are solid and resemble soft stones.
