Greetings dear friends, welcome to my blog. Today I am once again joining the weekly contest
Qurator's: Hive Top Chef! | Bar Food. I confess that this menu is new to me, if I ever went to a bar, hehe, I don't remember, so I preferred to do a little research to know what recipe I could prepare. That's the good thing about these contests, that each topic leads us to learn something new.
In addition to alcoholic beverages, the bars serve a variety of snacks, some simple and others less simple. Their menu includes hamburgers, pizzas, snacks, nuts, french fries, onion rings, shrimp cocktail, with the latter already beginning the strongest menu. This time I decided for simple appetizers, onion rings, which by the way, is the first time I prepare them, I also included french fries with their respective portion of ketchup sauce and to complete these portions I put salted peanuts. I hope you like this recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 cup of leavening wheat flour
- 3/4 cups of water
- 144 grs of white onion
- 26 grs of potatoes
- 1 teaspoons de dried oregano
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon ground garlic
- 1 teaspoon ground onion
- Salt to taste
- bread crumbs, quantity required
- Frying oil


Preparation
1.-. Remove the skin from the onion, wash it, cut it into rings and dry them with kitchen paper.


2.-. We prepare the leavening wheat flour that will be part of the breading. Dissolve the wheat flour in the water and mix. Then, add the spices, the dried oregano, the paprika, the turmeric, the garlic and the ground onion, as well as the salt to taste. Mix and adjust the salt to taste.


3.- Preheat a frying pan with enough oil. Soak the onion rings in the mixture we have prepared with the wheat flour, then in the breadcrumbs and fry until golden brown on all sides. Once ready, place the onion rings on absorbent paper to remove excess oil Note: the amount of breadcrumbs I say is necessary to cover the onion rings well.

4.- Remove the skin from the potato, wash it, cut it into julienne strips and dry it with kitchen paper. In a preheated frying pan, fry the potatoes until golden brown. To remove excess salt, let them rest for a couple of minutes on absorbent paper
