It's a beautiful morning, i over slept as a result of stress and waking behind time to usually breakfast time. Have to quickly serve something before they start leaving the house on an empty stomach but what i will i prepare to meet up I asked myself. I remember i have over ripped plantain and potato let me make something out of it.
Making potato and plantain sauce
Ingredients for this dish
- 400g of potato
- 600g of ripped plantain
- 20g of Scotch bonnet
- 40g of shombo
- 60g of onion
- 40g of bell peppers(green and red) colors are of choice
- 135ml of vegetable oil of choice
Step one
Let's start by washing, peeling and cutting the plantains and potatoes.
Just at that we are not with cutting, we move to the onion, bell peppers and fresh tomatoes.
Let's go pounding, pounded my shombo and scotch bonnet, should be blended though but there was no light.
Step two
I fried my plantain and potatoes first and scoop them out and in the same pot pour my onion, fresh tomatoes and my shombo and scotch bonnet. And lastly my bell pepper. Note that each one you add you must stir well especially at the time the tomatoes is added.
I poured in my fried plantain and potato and stir very well so that they mix perfectly. You might be wondering how this dish tastes, the first time i saw someone make it i wondered so too, i saw this recipe on a web2 platform and saved it and decided to try it out. She served her's with rice while i did mine just like that and it was delicious.
Bell peppers aren't optional as it gives color and taste the meal.
