Today I made a very expensive dish for my house help and she was every happy that I celebrate 🎊 her in a way she did not expect. My house help likes beans too much that she will do anything for you if you promise to cook beans for her, so today I suprise her by cooking beans for her because she got the first position in her class this term.

INGREDIENTS USED

Two cups of brown beans
One small size of coconut 🥥
Four pieces of fresh pepper 🌶️
One seed of ginger
Some pieces of curry leaves
Three pieces of garlic
One teaspoon of salt for taste
Half cup of red oil
One bulb of onion
Water

PROCEDURE

Without wasting much of you guys time I will show and share how I made this recipe out

First I select out the bad beans out from the good ones and put into a clean water in a bowl and wash then after washing it I put into a pot and add water then cook for some minutes

After that I break my coconut and wash it then bring my blender and put my coconut into it and add water then blend it and bring my filter and filter out the milk out

So after some minutes I checked my pot of beans it has boiled well so I bring it down and wash it then put into a sieve to remove water

Then set that same pot on fire and add my coconut milk into the pot and add my boiled brown beans to it and leave to boil

Then after all that I start to prepare all my ingredients by washing them and cutting them one after the other

I bring my mortar and pound the fresh pepper garlic and ginger together

When the beans has boiled I add my red oil into it and cover

When the red oil has mixed up with the coconut milk well I add my pounded ingredients that contains pepper, ginger and garlic and also add my chopped of onions and mix

Love the recipe!! 🙂👍

What is this herb you put in the beans? Is this Ocimum gratissimum, also known as clove basil, African basil, efirin, nchanwu, daidoya?

It is curry leaf 🍀
