Delicious Vegan Marble Cake, Recipe..

Hello my dear friends, I hope you are having a happy Sunday, and can recharge your batteries for this new week that begins, today, I want to share with you, today's snack, it's vegan, I have prepared a delicious marbled vegan cake, and the truth is that it has been a complete success, best of all, I have not needed eggs or dairy products, and this cake has nothing to envy, the one we usually eat, the marbled cake, it is a classic of pastry, it is a sponge cake, in which we mix vanilla and chocolate, and the flavor is great, it is also very easy to make, with few ingredients, in minutes you will have an exquisite snack, for everyone at home.

Delicious Vegan Marble Cake


Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of wheat flour.

  • 1 cup of sugar (you can use any sweetener you prefer).

  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla.

  • Zest of one lemon.

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder.

  • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil.

  • 3/4 cup of almond milk.

  • 1 teaspoon of white or apple cider vinegar.

  • 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder.

  • A pinch of salt.

  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda.

  • 50g cornstarch.


Process.

1- Prepare the buttermilk. In a bowl, add the almond milk and vinegar. Mix and let it sit for 10 minutes to allow the milk to curdle. This makes the cake softer.


2- After 10 minutes, add the buttermilk, oil, vanilla, and sugar to a bowl. Mix well with a hand mixer until everything is well combined.



3- Next, add the flour, baking powder, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt. Using a sieve, sift, and mix gently until you have a dough. Then, add the lemon zest.

4- When the dough is ready, add less than half of the mixture to a bowl and the cocoa powder. Mix gently.



5- In a greased and floured baking dish, add part of the vanilla mixture, then a little of the chocolate mixture, and so on, ending with the chocolate mixture. Using a toothpick, stir a little to create a swirling effect and show both colors, the vanilla and the chocolate. Finally, bake in the preheated oven for approximately 40 minutes.


6- Once the time has elapsed, remove from the oven, unmold, and let it rest for a few minutes. Then, cut into the cake and enjoy this delicious combination of flavors.
