Simple Catalan chicory in a pan ( Eng/Esp)

Good evening hivers how are you? Today I confess I didn't really feel like cooking but since I've been busy these days and my husband and I have mainly eaten sandwiches and noodles tonight I was alone and I decided to cook some vegetables because I had been eating very little or none for several days. I had some Catalan chicory left in the fridge and I decided to make a nice plate of chicory to eat with bread.

For this recipe you need:

  • 150 grams of catalan chicory
  • 3 tablespoons of salt
  • 2 tablespoons of garlic powder
  • 3 tablespoons of oil

First take the chicory and clean it well, I buy it fresh and sometimes some dirt remains, then cut it into medium-sized strips or as you prefer, throw away the stems obviously. Let's prepare a pan with three tablespoons of oil and put the ciciroa strips in it, add salt and chopped garlic and mix, cook our chicory for about twenty minutes, stirring often, we will then have an excellent meal of crispy fiviria to eat with bread, rice or as a side dish if you like slightly bitter flavors. Enjoy your meal!

Buenas noches hivers ¿cómo estás? Hoy confieso que no tenía muchas ganas de cocinar pero como he estado muy ocupada estos días y mi marido y yo comíamos principalmente sándwiches y fideos, esta noche estaba sola y decidí cocinar algunas verduras porque hacía varios días que no comía mucho o nada. Tenía unas sobras de achicoria catalana en la nevera y decidí hacerme un buen plato de achicoria para comer con pan.

Para esta receta necesitarás:

  • 150 gramos de achicoria
  • 3 cucharadas de sal
  • 2 cucharadas de ajo en polvo
  • 3 cucharadas de aceite

Primero cogemos la achicoria y la limpiamos bien, yo la compro fresca y a veces sobra algo de tierra, luego la cortamos en tiras medianas o como prefieras obviamente tiramos los tallos. Preparamos una sartén con tres cucharadas de aceite y ponemos en ella las tiras de achicoria, añadimos la sal y el ajo picado y mezclamos, cocinamos nuestra achicoria durante unos veinte minutos, removiendo seguido, tendremos entonces una excelente comida de fiviria crujiente para comer con pan, arroz o como acompañamiento si te gustan los sabores ligeramente amargos. ¡Disfrute de su comida!
