Pumpkins are so plentiful in our area that sometimes we don't even need to buy them because they are often gifted by neighbors. Including today the pumpkin was gifted by my neighbor and I plan to process it into one of the delicious dishes.
It has a sweet taste with a creamy texture from the coconut milk and most importantly natural savory from the combination of palm sugar and coconut milk. It feels great to be able to prepare one of the recipes that is indeed our family's favorite food during certain events at home. We usually prepare this dish as one of the desserts at home when the extended family gets together. Or even my mom makes this dish as a delicious meal to take to the rice fields.

It's very simple and easy to prepare, and I think it's a simple porridge that has a delicious flavor and can be enjoyed in any condition. Sweet, savory, with the right texture of pumpkin that is very soft with the right maturity. I suggest you don't cook the pumpkin too mushy, just make sure the coconut milk starts to warm up and then add the pumpkin to get the best texture.
