Previously, I introduced you in a previous post about satay. However, it is non-vegan satay, this time you don't need to worry anymore because vegan satay turns out to be much better than all of them. This typical Indonesian food is very special at home. But I don't often make it, only at certain times. But this time I will make it again with a vegan version.
Oyster Mushroom Satay
Oyster mushroom satay is satay made from mushroom meat that I wrap around a stick. It's very delicious, and has a tempting aroma and really delicious taste. Oyster mushroom satay is very delicious to enjoy with soy sauce, the spicy, sweet and savory onions are enough to make it a dish that you must have in your house.
Materials Used
½ teaspoon salt
1 candlenut
1 cm Turmeric
1 teaspoon coriander
4 red onions
2 cloves of garlic
To taste sweet soy sauce
Sufficient skewers
Cooking Procedure
Prepare the mushrooms first, shred or cut the mushrooms into small pieces.
then wash the mushrooms thoroughly, then squeeze the water until they are completely dry.
Add ½ teaspoon salt, then marinate briefly with salt.
While waiting for the mushrooms, I prepared the ground spices. Chop the spices until smooth, then put them in a blender and add water. Blend at maximum speed until smooth.
Add to the marinated mushrooms, then add the chili sauce.
Then also add sesame oil and sweet soy sauce. Once it tastes right, marinate with the spices for 30 minutes.
After waiting for 30 minutes, skewer the mushroom flesh on a skewer. Do it until it's all finished.
Grill on a grill over low heat until half cooked. Then season with soy sauce and grill again until cooked.
Results
Oyster mushroom satay is ready to be enjoyed, enjoy it while it's warm. Enjoy this satay with warm white rice, just look, vegan lovers will definitely like it. Interestingly, I made soy sauce for the satay dip. I do this so that it looks like I'm enjoying real meat satay, even though the meat is made from oyster mushrooms. Very delicious, the natural sweet and savory taste of mushrooms combines perfectly with the savory spices. Everything tastes and absorbs perfectly, I'm sure this must be because of the marination process.
Interestingly, the marinating process makes these mushrooms not tough at all. I think it will be the opposite because there is no process of boiling the mushrooms first. However, the marinating process really helps make everything tastiest this time.
