The pleasure of vegan dishes is not always about vegetables, sometimes processing processed ingredients such as tofu will make you feel a very different sensation.

Hi vegan lovers, it's great to be able to share with you vegan recipes that are very easy for you to prepare at home, of course you can easily try at home with easy-to-get ingredients such as white tofu. Tofu is indeed a type of processed soybean that is very tasty besides tempeh, in my opinion, any processing of tofu will definitely succeed with satisfying results including this dish.

Tofu Satay Rujak Seosening

20250206_113238.jpg

satay rujak seasoning is a combination of tofu cooked with our country's special rujak seasoning then combined with thick coconut milk to get the perfect savory with a spectacular taste. I found this recipe on social media some time ago, how I thought this recipe was almost similar to the tempeh satay recipe I had made previously. But after reading the ingredients, it is very different, this satay has an authentic flavor with a special seasoning for tofu processing that mainly uses coconut milk and also some other ingredients, of course without turmeric and sunti acid which is not included in our local salad seasoning. I think this is just how to make it almost the same as how to pre-cook the tofu so that the spices quickly soak when baked.

Curious not with the steps, let's see the recipe below!.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

2 pieces of tofu
100 ml coconut milk
¼ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon mushroom stock
1 bay leaf
1 lemongrass stem

Ground Spices

4 cloves shallots
2 cloves garlic
2 dried chilies
1 hazelnut

Well for this recipe I get 8 skewers of satay tofu, I think this can be enjoyed for 2 to 3 people at home.

Cooking Procedure

Step 1

Prepare the spices first, here I first fry the dried chilies and candlenuts before mashing them then mash the spices with a little coconut milk until smooth

Step 2

Cut the tofu into small squares so that when skewered it will be beautiful and neat.

Step 3

Heat the oil to fry the tofu for just a minute until the tofu is solid and not easily crushed anymore then set aside.

Step 4

Then sauté just enough onions with bay leaves and lemongrass then add the spices, fry until fragrant.

Step 6

Add mushroom broth, salt, cook while occasionally stirring until the coconut milk shrinks, the sauce thickens then let it cool.

Step 7

Skewer the seasoned tofu pieces with skewers, heat the grill or satay grill while occasionally smearing the remaining spices until browned.

The result

Tofu Satay is ready to be served, serve while warm with fried onions or a sprinkling of nori on top is very tempting. I enjoyed it without using sauce is very good. The marinade soaked into the tofu, the combination of spice paste and coconut milk made it even more savory, especially the candlenut horeng in the spice paste made this dish even more delicious.

For those of you who are vegan, I think this will definitely be very suitable for your tongue. The selected spices with the aroma of aromatic leaves make this simple dish very tasty. For those of you who have never tried tofu processed like this I highly recommend this recipe for you to try at home.

It looks very appetizing, I would love to eat it, in my country Tofu is difficult to see, it is rarely available in supermarkets in my area, but I love this recipe and I want to make it. 😍

Wow, tofu is very delicious, you should try it. I think tofu is a vegan ingredient that is very good to be processed into anything!

I haven't tried it because it's hard to find in my area. A few months ago I saw a 100 gram package for $17. It seemed expensive to me hahaha

Wow that's a really fantastic price you're right. In Indonesia it is very cheap, even we used to enjoy tofu every day $0.31

I will have to make it at home 🤔🧑‍🍳, I will look for information on how to do it 😊

I'm always so surprised and excited if the way you are able to creat a truly culinary artistic dish with every ingredient 🥰🥰 tofu satay looks soooo good.

Another delicious way to make the perfect tofu at home. Give it a try!
