Vermicelli has always had the perfect appeal that can be processed into various delicious dishes at home. Including this wet cake that I usually prepare non-vegan, I am now trying to turn it into a vegan dish with the help of vermicelli.
Dragon Fruit Vermicelli Cake
Today again I will invite you to prepare a recipe for one of the old ones that I found on social media. This recipe is vegan-based and you can easily prepare it by steaming. The ingredients are very simple relying on dragon fruit and also corn vermicelli and shredded coconut as a complement.
Now the maker of this recipe was inspired by one of the traditional non-vegan snacks in the form of putu ayu. This cake is so good I fell in love with it, but being curious about the vegan version without eggs I will try to make it today. And hopefully this recipe will also inspire you as a beautiful dish for your family at home.
Curious about the recipe, let's see the preparation steps below!.
Ingredients
1 orange
½ of a dragon fruit
100 grams of grated coconut
100 ml of coconut milk
100 grams of tapioca flour
4 tablespoons of sugar
Preparation Steps
I boiled the corn vermicelli in boiling water, make sure the vermicelli is cooked then salted first.
Then squeeze the oranges into the cooled vermicelli, I squeeze the oranges manually only if you cold squeeze with the tool is very okay.
I cut the dragon fruit into small pieces to mash. Blend with enough coconut milk until perfectly smooth with the texture I want.
Put the dragon fruit that has been blended into the vermicelli that has entered the orange earlier.
Add flour and stir until evenly distributed, then add sugar and let it mix well.
Then add salt and also coconut milk, stir until evenly distributed until it becomes a dough.
Prepare coconut and add it in a mold that I have spread cooking oil.
Put the vermicelli dough into the mold let everything not need to be too dense.
Then steam until everything is cooked, approximately up to 30 minutes. Let cool and then remove from the mold.
Result
Putu Ayu dragon fruit vermicelli is ready to be served, I served it on a plate, I cut pieces of dragon fruit on it to beautify its appearance. It looks very luxurious and you can enjoy it while relaxing with your family. You can even make this dish as a unique dessert for family gatherings. The good news is that the color of the dragon fruit can increase the excitement of children when they will enjoy it, right?.

It tasted good, and there was also a perfect chewy texture from the vermicelli and tapioca flour that I used. What I like the most is that the flavor of the dragon fruit makes it even better, especially when there is a combination of coconut milk in it, making it even more delicious and certainly very tasty.
I highly recommend this as the perfect dessert at home. Good luck for recipe my friends.
