This one snack always has its own charm when it comes to preparation. Various processed ideas make donuts very effective for trying new recipes from them. Diverse donut variants with different flavors, but certainly have different characters in each recipe that will be prepared, including the donut recipe that I will show you below.

Sweet Potato Donuts

Donuts are one of the favorite cakes of many people, there are various types of processed donuts that I have seen. But one of them I have tried before, simple old-fashioned donuts with non-vegan raw materials. Now this time I will prepare donuts with a different variant, namely using sweet potatoes.

As we know sweet potatoes have a soft texture so I think it is very effective to be processed into donuts. Because previously I had seen donuts processed from potatoes and it was very soft, but I have never tried to make it maybe I will do it next time when I have potatoes. Therefore, processing sweet potatoes into donuts will be very good because both potatoes and sweet potatoes have a similar texture.

Very curious about the results, however, I managed to make eggless vegan donuts from sweet potatoes. They came out very fluffy and that makes them my go-to ingredient-saving vegan alternative.

Let's take a look at the preparation steps for sweet potato vegan donuts, below, which are very easy for you to make at home!.

Ingredients Used

100 grams sweet potato
200 grams wheat flour
50 grams cornstarch
30 grams sugar
1 tablespoon butter
¼ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon instant yeast
80 ml water

Cooking Procedure

Step 1

I peeled the skin of the sweet potato then soaked it with water so that it wouldn't turn black, then steamed it until it was cooked. Next, I mashed the cooked sweet potatoes until smooth.

Result

Sweet potato donuts are ready to be served, look at the results after frying alone is very friable, I am very happy that the donuts after proofing alone look successful. After I fried and cooled the donuts remained sturdy and that means my sweet potato donuts were successful. I added sugar donut topping and chocolate chips, as always chocolate chips are my favorite topping. You can replace it with any topping you like.

The doughnuts are super soft after I tried this doughnut is indeed almost similar to potato doughnuts even without eggs, the doughnuts managed to be made soft. Now for the shelf life, I think this donut cannot be stored for a long time and is suitable to be enjoyed while fresh because it does not make it harden. This donut that I made naturally without milk, without eggs so it is good to enjoy it after it is cooked.
