Hi vegan lovers, again and again traditional food in my area is always an inspiration to share with you. Simple dishes with savory and sweet flavors are the right choice when gathering with family. Well this time the dish is made from sticky rice and corn which is then cooked and enjoyed with coconut milk and whole palm sugar on top.
Initially this ragun will be delicious because the addition of palm sugar does not go through the process of being cooked in coconut milk as in my previous post but is served while warm and then added palm sugar on top. Later the palm sugar will dissolve by itself in coconut milk when it will be enjoyed.
So curious about how to serve and step by step preparation, let's see below!.
Ingredients used
50 grams corn
20 grams palm sugar
500 ml coconut milk
1 pandan leaf
1 teaspoon salt
Cooking Procedur
Cook the glutinous rice and corn in a wok by adding 200 ml of fresh dantan.
Add pandan leaves and ½ teaspoon salt and then the cooked glutinous rice.
Then cook until the coconut milk dries while stirring so that the sticky rice does not stick to the pan. Then steam until cooked or fluffy and can be set aside first.
Prepare coconut milk in a pan, add pandan leaves then salt.
Add vanilla powder, cook until boiling and thickened then the coconut milk sauce can be served. For the sugar, I cut it into small and fine pieces so that it dissolves easily when enjoyed.
Results and serving suggestions
Serve the corn glutinous rice in a serving plate, then add the coconut milk to the dish. Then serve while it's hot and leave the palm sugar in small pieces that have been prepared. Look at this delicious and very attractive dish, this dish is usually prepared during parties or other celebratory events.
The taste of sticky rice with coconut milk cannot lie. The taste is very fitting, sweet and savory and very soft with a blend of palm sugar that is naturally sweet and just right. And one thing you can put together is a very authentic level of sweetness. I really like it but again, enjoy it in moderation, don't overdo it.
