Tofu Chireng for the Firts Time

Enjoy your week with snacks that are different from the norm. The deep-fried option with a simple flour coating makes them even more delicious. The choice of sweet and spicy sauce, namely the rujak seasoning sauce that I made yesterday, is the next dipping sauce that I will prepare.




If last week I made cireng which is popular in Indonesia, now I want to make a variant of cireng from tofu. Cireng is indeed very easy to make with a variety of ways and differences in the ingredients added. Well today I will make cireng tofu which may be slightly different from the previous cireng recipe. Because of my curiosity about tofu cireng after trying to make the original version of cireng yesterday.

I got this recipe on the internet with a little recipe development, but know this tofu cireng recipe has many ways. And of course the results will also be different for each recipe that will be made.



Curious about the recipe I want to make, let's take a look at the preparation step by step.




Ingredients Needed

3 pieces of tofu
10 grams of tapioca flour
1 stem of spring onion
2 cloves of garlic
¼ teaspoon ground pepper
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon mushroom broth




Making Procedure


Step 1


Crush the white tofu using a fork until smooth or you can use a chopper.

Step 2


Chop the scallions then put them into the crushed tofu.

Step 3


Add salt pepper powder and also mushroom broth then also put in the mashed garlic.

Step 4


Add flour then Then stir the seasoned tofu mixture with flour until evenly distributed.

Step 5


Add a little boiling water, rint a round shape like cireng then coat it with tapioca flour again.

Step 6


Then fry until brownish yellow or until the outside of the cireng is crisp.

Results And Serving Suggestions

Serve the cireng on a serving plate then prepare the chili sauce seasoning like enjoying the original cireng. Or serve tofu cireng with packaged chili sauce is also very good. The taste is indeed very delicious anyone will definitely like it. The combination of soft tofu with tapioca makes it chewy and soft. Of course, the outside is crispy because I intentionally fry it longer to get that texture.

Cireng tofu is delicious after frying because you can get the texture you want in the serving bowl.
