Today I'm going to show you how to make one of my go-to recipes when I want to enjoy a super vegan dish without meat. Of course, this can replace the chicken recipes I usually make. Not only is it economical, but this dish is also much healthier and tastier.
Tofu Wrapped in Tofu Skin

The combination of tofu and tofu skin sounds funny, doesn't it? Of course, even though both are similar ingredients, they have different textures and flavors. When combined, they create a spectacular taste, in my opinion. This is one of my favorite tofu dishes, and I think it makes for a great diet menu. It's that delicious and even almost similar to enjoying chicken filling.
However, the key tip is to use good-quality, fresh tofu, especially. Fresh tofu without a sour taste will produce an amazing tofu skin wrap dish, in my opinion. I myself can’t get enough of this tofu skin wrap flavor. I’ve tried using different types of tofu I bought from other stores, and the results were truly disappointing. This, however, is the result I’ve been searching for all along. Here’s the recipe.
Ingredients

10 sheets of nori
8 pieces of white tofu
1 stalk of green onion
1 stalk of celery
1 clove of red onion
1 clove of garlic
¼ teaspoon of salt
¼ teaspoon of mushroom broth
Preparation Procedure
Mash the tofu with a spoon or in a chopper, but not too finely.

Once cooked, prepare the tofu skin sheets, add nori, and top with a tablespoon of the cooked tofu mixture.

Roll it up, and repeat until the mixture is finished. Steam for about 15 minutes, then I fried some for my husband while I enjoyed mine right after steaming.

Results and Presentation Suggestions

I am very happy to have successfully made something delicious at home. I served the steamed version, while I fried some for my husband. I deliberately fried only a few because they are a little oily when fried, but if you use an air fryer or bake them, I think it will be very safe. Serve them with chili sauce, peanut sauce, or even vegan mayo sauce, which will also be very delicious.

The inside is soft from the tofu, while the outside is chewy from the tofu skin. The combination of both is incredibly tasty, and I can’t believe how delicious it is—savory with a hint of spiciness from the chili peppers and the chili sauce dip. However, you can always adjust it to your taste.
