Javanese Tempe Orek
Javanese Tempe Orek is a tempeh dish with a dry sauce of several ingredients that have a sweet taste. This tempeh is made rather nyemek or rather wet, with abundant sauce that sticks to the surface of the tempeh on each side.
Now this dish is identical to the addition of soy sauce and pieces of red and green chili, in addition to creating a little spicy flavor also beautifies the dish.
Now, tempe orek can even be called a traditional specialty dish usually prepared during special events as complementary food. However, because it is very easy to make, tempeh orek is now a dish that is prepared almost every day at home.
4 green chilies
2 red chilies
1 lemongrass stick
2 lime leaves
2 bay leaves
2 shallot cloves
2 garlic cloves
20 grams palm sugar
½ teaspoon salt
Cooking Procedure
Cut the tempeh into small squares and rather thin, the shape can be adjusted to your liking.
Fry the tempeh until golden brown or until dry and crisp.
Chop all the other ingredients, mince the chili onion lime leaves and also cut 2 parts of lemongrass.
If all ingredients are ready, I saute shallots and garlic until wilted.
Then add all other ingredients except palm sugar and wait for it to wilt.
After wilting, add palm sugar and enter 100 ml of water, add 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce.
Add salt stir fry until the water shrinks slightly then add the tempeh that has been fried stir and cook
Results and Serving Suggestions
Serve tempe oreng in your favorite plate, well this recipe can be enjoyed by 2 people to enjoy with warm rice. But if you enjoy directly I think this can only be enjoyed for one person.
