I feel guilt about wasting food too! What's funny is I wasn't raised so strictly about it - I mean, we grew up eating leftovers and all, but there was no spoiled food punishment (eek!) - but I feel more guilty and try not to waste than my parents do. Luckily I do have a freezer. I hope you are somewhere with reliable electricity soon!
