Today, we present a new edition of THE BEST OF THE WEEK. Our intention with this post is to recognize the best of the best of the posts that you, friends of Hivers, share weekly in our Plant Power (Vegan) community, selecting the top three recipes from the previous week; which on this occasion corresponds to the period from Wednesday, May 14 to Tuesday, May 20, 2025.

Each of the selected publications will be reviewed in this curatorship, and in turn, its author will be awarded 30 $foodie token, in order to give him/her a modest recognition for the excellence and quality of his/her work.

There are healthy and nutritious snacks, and @chacald.dcymt shared just such a recipe this week. It's a tray of tostones (fried plantains) accompanied by a delicious, fresh vegetable picadillo (a type of fried plantain), which makes this dish very tasty. She shared this recipe in a post with detailed step-by-step instructions, which is why it was selected for The Best of the Week!

Sago Pearl Porridge - Plant Based Breakfast Menu | by @aswita

This week, @aswita brought us a different recipe for a wonderful, energizing, and delicious breakfast: Sago Pearl Porridge. In a post with beautiful photos and a well-explained recipe, she shows us how to make this delicious dish, where the aromas of pandan, the creaminess of coconut milk, and the softness of sago pearls come together to start the day off right. It also deserves to be included in The Best of the Week!
