Good night to all my dear friends on Hive! How are you all doing?
There’s truly something comforting about enjoying a cup of tea with a simple, homemade snack, and Aggala has long been a favorite for such moments. Today, I’m happy to share a delicious and easy Aggala recipe that pairs perfectly with your tea time.
This version uses minimal ingredients but delivers a rich taste and wonderful texture.
Before we begin, let’s talk about one special ingredient — Triposha. Triposha is a nutritious food mixture mainly made from corn, soybeans, and mung beans. It is widely used in Sri Lanka to improve the nutrition of both children and adults. It’s not a single raw ingredient but a specially formulated, fortified food. I chose to use it today to create a more nutritious tea-time treat!
Ingredients...
Triposha 100g.
1/2 Cup of Grated Coconut.
2 or 3 Tablespoon of sugar.
A pinch of salt.
Some slightly warm water.
The order of preparation.
First, take a bowl and add some Triposha to it. Then, add a little coconut, sugar, and salt.
Next, gradually add a little hot water to it and mix well. Once well combined, shape the mixture into small balls (aggala).
So, with just a few simple steps, you can create a warm, satisfying Aggala that is perfect for tea time or even as a quick energy-boosting snack. The combination of flavors and textures, enhanced by the nutritional benefits of Thriposha if you choose to include it, makes this a healthy treat suitable for all age groups. I hope you will enjoy preparing this delicious creation and sharing it with your loved ones. Stay tuned for the full recipe coming next! 🍵
