Oh waoh! Split green peas. Am just seeing this for the first time. In my country we have the tender ones we call chickens because they are fresh from the farm and tender.

And what a delicious healthy meal you have made with this recipe. Looks so delicious and healthy. Taste so good.

Here they usually sell them like this, without the hull and split. In some stores you can also find them fresh, or whole, but canned.

In my country they also sell whole yellow peas, which are delicious (I even like them much more than these), and they're a very common grain in the Andean region of my country because they make a hearty dish.
