Tribulations make us better people. Tribulation is the fire that refines our lives. Tribulation is the sharpening stone that God is using to sharpen our lives. Tribulations have their advantages in making our lives better. Tribulations are good for us.
A refining fire is used in purifying precious stones. Minerals like goal and silver pass through this fire before it can become useful. The usefulness of these elements are not seen until they are made to pass through the fire. Many precious things that we are using are not brought out from the ground that way. They are made to pass through the fire which refines them and then we can see their usefulness.
James 1:2-4 (KJV) My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
Tribulations refines us. They removed the dross from us and then we can become better persons. Every tribulation which we pass through has its own advantage in our lives. Through these tribulations, we are sharpened and the better persons in us come out.
