Our Lord Jesus Christ came into this world to do good. The Bible says, God anointed Jesus Christ and He went about doing good. He told us that the Son of man did not do that men can minister unto Him. Instead, he came to minister and to give Himself as a ransom for many.
Acts 10:38 (KJV) How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
He went through the street of Galilee solving the problem of humanity. He was not tired from healing the sick. Even lepers which were rejected and sent out of the city so that others could not contact their diseases were attended to by our loving Saviour.
John 13:34-35 (KJV) A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
Love is the characteristic of our kingdom. As the children of God, the word of God admonishes us to show love to others. We are advised to do good unto all men. We are not to waste any opportunity that comes our way. We are to express love to all men.
Galatians 6:9-10 (KJV) And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
We are financially obligated to others. This does not only mean those in our own house or family. We are to extend the love of God by sharing our substances with others. We are to give out our substances to bless others. Therefore, we are financially responsible for the wellbeing of others.
