Nakanoshima, Osaka, Japan 🇯🇵
"It's been a while since we met each other! I was thinking of going to Osaka to hang out with you!" He is a friend from Singapore whom I hadn't seen in a really long time, and since he finally got a long vacation, he was planning to make a trip to Japan, visiting Osaka, Tokyo, and Sapporo. So he contacted me to say that he was going to Osaka as well and would like to hang out with me there. It had been 5 years since we last met, so we were looking forward to seeing each other again and decided to go sightseeing in Osaka together.
I heard a rumor that Nakanoshima Island in Osaka is now being developed as a tourist spot and is becoming quite a fashionable and nice place to visit, so we decided to go there together. Nakanoshima is a sandbar in the center of Osaka, and is the political and economic center of Osaka, with the Osaka Prefectural Government and the Osaka branch of the Bank of Japan located there. It is being developed as a tourist attraction, and the area is being beautifully developed around the Nakanoshima Public Hall, a building constructed in the Taisho era (1912-1926). We walked along the Dojima River, and Nakanoshima Station has become a tourist spot with many attractions, such as art exhibitions being held in the station.
「ひさしぶり！大阪に遊びに行こうと思ってて、一緒に遊ぼう！」と友達から連絡があった。 本当に久しぶりに会うシンガポール人の友人で、やっと長期休暇が取れたので、大阪、東京、札幌と日本旅行を行う予定ということだった。 そこで、大阪も行くので一緒に遊ぼうと連絡をくれた。 前回会ったのが、もう５年も前と言うことで、本当に久しぶりで会うのを楽しみに一緒に大阪観光を行うことにした。
今、大阪の中ノ島は観光スポットとして整備が進み、かなりお洒落で素敵な場所になってきているという噂を聞いて、一緒に行ってみることにしました。 中ノ島は大阪の中心街にある中洲で、そこには大阪府庁や日本銀行大阪支店など、大阪の政治や経済の中心地です。 そこを観光地として開発が進んでいて、中ノ島公会堂と言う大正時代に建設された建物を中心にきれいに整備が進んでいます。 堂島川を沿って歩いたのですが、中ノ島駅内ではアートの展示会が開催されるなど、見どころのある観光スポットになっていました。

Walked to KitaShinchi
I went to Nakanoshima to see an art exhibition at the station with a friend of mine, and afterward, we went outside and walked along the Dojima River together. Although we have been in touch with each other frequently, it was different to meet and talk after a long time, and we reported on each other's recent activities. Unlike me, who has changed jobs every now and then since five years ago, my friend has been consistently working hard in the world of education, and I admire his commitment. You are so cool, dude!
I decided to go to Kita-Shinchi, a famous shopping and food (entertainment) district in Osaka. I did not have any particular business in Kita-Shinichi, but I took a shortcut from Nakanoshima to Osaka Station through Kita-Shinichi. Kita-Shinchi is the largest entertainment district in eastern Japan, and although it is a very small area, it is lined with upscale restaurants, including many five-star Michelin restaurants. If you are looking for a fine dining experience, I highly recommend Kita-Shinchi.
中ノ島で友人でアートの展示を駅で鑑賞し、その後は外に出て堂島川沿いを一緒に散歩しました。 ちょくちょく連絡を取って近況報告をしあっている友人ではありますが、久しぶりに会って話すのはまた違って色々とお互いの近況報告をしあいました。 ５年前からころころ仕事を変えている私と違って、一貫して教育の世界で頑張っている友人、そのコミットメントの姿に関心しました。
大阪で有名な繁華街である、北新地に行くことにしました。 別に北新地に用事があったのではないのですが、中ノ島から大阪駅までは北新地を通ると近道で、北新地を通って大阪駅へ向かいしました。 北新地は東日本随一の歓楽街で、すごく狭い地域ではあるのですが、高級レストランが立ち並び、ミシュラン５つ星のレストランなどがたくさんあります。 高級レストランを探している方は、ここ、北新地をお勧めいたします。
ShabuShabu with my friend in Osaka
We passed through Kita Shinchi and headed for Osaka Station. After walking quite a bit, we got hungry, and after talking with my friend, we decided that we wanted to eat some solid meat, so we ate shabu-shabu together. We decided to go for the all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu for 10,000 yen. I think that 10,000 yen for all-you-can-eat sliced Kobe beef is a great price. The meat was beautifully marbled, and my friend seemed satisfied when he saw it.
In shabushabu, thinly sliced meat is placed in boiling broth with chopsticks, and the meat is cooked by shaking it in the broth. The motion of moving the meat from side to side is called "shabu-shabu". If you want to eat a lot of meat, this is the Japanese dish for you! This Japanese cuisine is recommended for those who want to eat a lot of meat, and the restaurant was full of customers from overseas. It is all-you-can-eat for 90 minutes, and when you have eaten all the meat on your plate, you can order the next piece of meat. We ate until we were satisfied with our 90 minutes of eating. LOL!

北新地を通過し、大阪駅へ向かいました。 結構歩いたのでお腹がすいてきて、友人と話をすると何か肉がしっかり食べたいと言うことになり、一緒にしゃぶしゃぶを食べることになりました。 しゃぶしゃぶの食べ放題が１００００円と言うことで、それにしようと言うことになりました。 神戸牛をスライスした肉が食べ放題で、１００００円ってお値打ちだと思います。 きれいな霜降りのお肉で、出てきたお肉をみて、友人も満足している様子でした。
しゃぶしゃぶは薄くスライスした肉を沸騰させた出汁のスープに箸で入れ、そして肉を出汁の中で揺らし調理します。 その左右に動かす動作を、「しゃぶしゃぶ」させると言います。 肉をいっぱい食べたい！という人にはお勧めの日本料理で、レストランには海外から来たお客さんがたくさん来ていました。 ９０分間の間は食べ放題で、出されたお皿の上の肉をすべて食べた状態だと、次の肉を注文することが出来ます。 わたし達も９０分かん、大満足するまでたべまくりました。 笑！
Clubbing in Umeda - Kita!
After filling up, we went to a club in Umeda. There are many clubs in Umeda, and I was able to have a lot of fun after a long time. But it is not good to go to a club when you are too full. LOL. I had a really good time in Osaka with my friend after a long time. I want to go to Singapore again with my sambo and go to the casino.... And I really appreciate my friend who bought me shabu-shabu. Thank you very much!
お腹いっぱいになった後は、梅田のクラブに行きました。 梅田にはクラブがたくさんがあり、久しぶりのクラブも結構楽しむことが出来ました。 でも、やっぱりお腹いっぱいすぎた状態で行くのはよくないですねぇー。 笑。 久しぶりに友人と大阪で遊び、本当によい時間を過ごすことが出来ました。 シンガポールに今度はサンボと要って、カジノに行きたいなぁー。 それと、しゃぶしゃぶをおごってくれた友人に、まじで感謝しています。 ありがとう！
