As part of my quest to shake off weeks of feeling under the weather, I decided to dust off my DJI Air2S and head out for some drone photography. Sure, it was a misty day—not exactly ideal flying weather—but sometimes you have to work with what the world gives you.
The fog turned out to be a blessing in disguise. It softened the landscape, creating this ethereal, dreamy vibe that made the photos feel alive in a way I didn’t expect. From the ghostly outlines of trees to patterns on the ground that seemed to stretch forever, the mist added a layer of mystery that autumn already brings to the table.
Sometimes, it’s not about perfect conditions. It’s about getting out there, even if your energy isn’t at 100%, and finding joy in capturing what you can. Flying the drone reminded me that creativity often thrives in imperfection.
Scroll through the shots below—misty skies, autumnal textures, and a view you don’t always get to see. Not bad for a sick day’s adventure!
