Ah yes, that I understand! Even as a seasoned coder it is not always easy to look into someone elseโ€™s code! Or your own, three days later ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Yes, I've seen that happen! Some coders seem to have a very peculiar way of coding...lol! ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿ’š โœจ ๐Ÿค™

It's an artform in its own right indeed :-D

Of that I have no doubt. People set up their digital infrastructure in strikingly different ways! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’šโœจ๐Ÿค™

Quite!
And sometimes it is just fun to read !INDEED !
Def random()
Return 7

I actually saw this code once, in good ole Java. In a 7 million dollar project by a very big tech company, 7 months into an 8 month project.

!INDEED, I very much agree with that! Even though I'm not (yet) a coder, I love to look at how different people choose to organize their code. Oh, yipes! I'm guess that seeing 'random' in any kind of environment like that would be quite perplexing! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’šโœจ๐Ÿค™

The random() method itself was not that wrong, but that the it returned a fixed value of always 7 was completely wrong :-D Especially since it was quite an important function, and itโ€™s not that hard to code :-)

Ah, OK, I see. I guess that you get to see lots of amateur coding bits like that, doing things in an backassward manner. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’šโœจ๐Ÿค™

Unfortunately yes! And the worst thing of all is that this was an amateur working for a VERY big Tech company, with a f*ing huge salary :-)
