Remembering my end of year 2018 / Recordando mi fin de año 2018 (ESP-ENG)

¡Hola hivers!💜

Espero que se encuentren bien y felices. Estaba buscando una foto vieja y me encontré con las fotos de fin de año del 2018. Fue la última navidad que pasé con mi papá y mis hermanos menores, antes de que partieran a Ecuador.

La cena de fin de año la hicimos en casa de mi abuelo. Nos reunimos todos mis tíos y primos, tías abuelas. Fue el momento perfecto para reunirnos y compartir en familia mientras el 2018 se iba y llegaba un 2019 lleno de muchas bendiciones, alegrías y algunas tristes despedidas.

En ese momento nos enteramos que había planes de irse pronto para mi papá y mis hermanos, ya que la mamá de ellos los estaba esperando en Ecuador. Eso dio un toque agridulce a la noche, pero sabíamos que era algo necesario que como familia se reunieron y buscar algo mejor para mis hermanos menores que apenas estaban uno en primaria y otro en bachillerato.

Eso no dañó la celebración, más bien la disfrutamos más y la aprovechamos tomandonos muchisimas fotos, aunque me di cuenta de que se borraron algunas y eso me entristece un poco. Así le dimos la bienvenida al 2019, sueño con que pronto llegue el día que mi familia y la de muchos venezolanos se reunan para celebrar.

Hi hivers! 💜

I hope you are well and happy. I was looking for an old photo and came across the end of the year photos from 2018. It was the last Christmas I spent with my dad and younger siblings, before they left for Ecuador.

We had our New Year's Eve dinner at my grandfather's house. We gathered all my uncles and cousins, great aunts. It was the perfect time to get together and share as a family as 2018 was leaving and a 2019 arrived filled with many blessings, joys and some sad goodbyes.

At that time we learned that there were plans to leave soon for my dad and brothers, as their mom was waiting for them in Ecuador. That gave a bittersweet touch to the night, but we knew that it was something necessary that as a family they got together and look for something better for my younger brothers who were just one in elementary school and the other in high school.

That did not hurt the celebration, rather we enjoyed it more and took advantage of it by taking lots of pictures, although I realized that some were deleted and that makes me a little sad. This is how we welcomed 2019, I dream that soon the day will come when my family and many Venezuelans will get together to celebrate.
