Comidas que extrañaba de Venezuela [ESP/ENG]

Hola a todos! No se ustedes pero yo amo comer (aunque no parezca jajaja) y debo confesar que además de ir a Colombia para ver a mi familia, también lo hice para comer comida venezolana y por supuesto también para comer la comida de mi mamá porque es que nada como la comida de nuestras mamás y sin duda yo la extrañaba demasiado. Ahora bien, en este post quiero mostrarles algunas de esas comidas que disfruté mucho estando allí, que aunque estábamos en Colombia era comida preparada por venezolanos.

Hello everyone! I don't know about you but I love to eat (although it doesn't seem like it hahaha) and I must confess that besides going to Colombia to see my family, I also did it to eat Venezuelan food and of course also to eat my mom's food because nothing like our mom's food and without a doubt I missed it too much. Now, in this post I want to show you some of those meals that I enjoyed a lot while I was there, even though we were in Colombia it was food prepared by Venezuelans.

Lo primero el pan, pan andino traído por mi mamá desde San Cristóbal, y es que no se si ustedes saben pero el pan del Táchira es uno de los más sabrosos panes de Venezuela y con mi mamá trabajando en una panadería, no dudamos en pedirle que trajera varios de estos. Pan suave, esponjoso, dulce y muy sabroso, perfecto para mojar con un delicioso café con leche, eso se sentía la gloria y no es porque mi mamá trabaje en esa panadería pero sin duda estos panes estaban sabrosos, y yo lo extrañaba mucho ya que en Polonia el pan es duro, y no estoy exagerando.

First the bread, Andean bread brought by my mom from San Cristobal, and I don't know if you know but the bread from Tachira is one of the tastiest breads in Venezuela and with my mom working in a bakery, we did not hesitate to ask her to bring several of these. Soft, fluffy, sweet and very tasty bread, perfect for dunking with a delicious coffee with milk, that felt like glory and it's not because my mom works in that bakery but without a doubt these breads were tasty, and I missed it a lot since in Poland bread is hard, and I'm not exaggerating.

Segundo, las empanadas, y aunque una vez preparamos en casa todos juntos, la verdad es que mi hermana y José sabían de un lugar donde venden unas empanas tan sabrosas que a todos nos encantaron, los dueños eran de Maracaibo pero trabajan ahí en Medellín, y tienen una salsa de ajo demasiado exquisita. Y si eres venezolano como yo, seguro que entiendes sobre la deliciosa combinación de una empanada con una maltin polar bien fría.

Second, the empanadas, and although we once prepared them at home all together, the truth is that my sister and José knew of a place where they sell such tasty empanadas that we all loved them, the owners were from Maracaibo but they work there in Medellín, and they have a very exquisite garlic sauce. And if you are Venezuelan like me, you surely understand about the delicious combination of an empanada with a cold polar maltin.

Además de empanadas, claro que también fuimos a comer tequeños y es que aunque intente prepararlos en Polonia la verdad es que no van a quedar igual porque no hay un buen queso o queso ideal como en Venezuela para esto por eso era una comida que no podía dejar de comer mientras estaba allí. Nuevamente mi hermana y José tenían otro lugar perfecto donde venden unos tequeños muy sabrosos y que disfrutamos mucho.

Besides empanadas, of course we also went to eat tequeños and even if you try to prepare them in Poland the truth is that they are not going to be the same because there is no good cheese or ideal cheese as in Venezuela for this so it was a meal that I could not stop eating while I was there. Again my sister and Jose had another perfect place where they sell very tasty tequeños that we enjoyed very much.

Recuerdan la receta que les subí sobre el arroz chino venezolano, bueno, como les dije nuestra inspiración para prepararlo vino de Medellín, puesto que allí probamos un arroz chino venezolano que estaba muy sabroso, este no estaba en nuestros planes, pues no sabíamos que podíamos conseguirlo allí en Colombia pero lo disfrutamos mucho.

Remember the recipe I uploaded about Venezuelan Chinese rice, well, as I told you our inspiration to prepare it came from Medellín, since we tasted a Venezuelan Chinese rice there that was very tasty, this one was not in our plans, since we did not know we could get it there in Colombia but we enjoyed it very much.

Y por último pero no menos importante, un delicioso sancocho preparado por mi mamá y la mamá de mi amiga Gelmary, esto sin duda fue la comida más esperada por todos, incluso por mi hermana también ya que la verdad aún no nos atrevemos a preparar esto por nuestra cuenta . Esta sopa quedó tan sabrosa que disfrutamos mucho, incluso mi esposo Pawel comió demasiado este día, y es que estaba para chuparse los dedos, con yuca, papá, plátano, carnes y mazorcas, la combinación perfecta.

And last but not least, a delicious sancocho prepared by my mom and my friend Gelmary's mom, this was without a doubt the most awaited meal by everyone, even by my sister too since we still don't dare to prepare this on our own. This soup was so tasty that we enjoyed it a lot, even my husband Pawel ate too much this day, and it was finger licking good, with yucca, dad, plantain, meats and corncobs, the perfect combination.

Claro que comimos un montón de cosas sabrosas más, como caraotas, arepas y otras que ya les he mostrado en mi blog pero para no hacer más largo este post, se los dejo hasta aquí y espero que no los haya antojado demasiado jajaja, pero ustedes cuéntenme, como extranjeros que comidas extrañaban de su país? Of course we ate a lot of other tasty things, like caraotas, arepas and others that I have already shown you in my blog but not to make this post longer, I'll leave it up to here and I hope I haven't made you crave too much hahaha, but you tell me, as foreigners, what foods did you miss from your country?
