When you sleep with an empty stomach believe me you will check every hour of the night before dawn.
Both food and sleep are important to mankind.

That doesn't happen to me at all, once it's past midnight I hardly feel hungry again, except I'm awake doing something.

But yes, both are good for the body and we need to balance it.
