In Santiago, there is a popular market called “La Vega”. Years ago when I lived in Santiago I used to go there very often to buy food like proteins, vegetables, and fruits. But these days I went with my cousins to eat empanadas because I have had a long time without eating them since I arrived in Chile. Where I live there are no such places that sell Venezuelan food, so we took advantage of the fact that they live near the market and went to eat some. The price was good, 1000 Chilean pesos which is about $ 1,2$. We ate and left since that market was very busy and there were too many people that day.

En Santiago hay un Mercado popular llamado “La Vega”. Hace años cuando vivía en Santiago iba muy seguido a comprar comida como proteínas, verduras y frutas. Pero en estos días fui con mis primos a comer empanadas ya que tenía mucho tiempo sin comerlas desde que llegué a Chile. Donde vivo no existen ese tipo de locales que vendan comida venezolana, así que aprovechamos que ellos viven cerca del mercado, fuimos a comernos unas. En precio estaban bien, 1000 pesos chilenos que es como 1,2$. Comimos y nos fuimos ya que ese mercado es muy concurrido y ese día había demasiada gente.
