Happy Friday, blog friends, how are you? As your Friday goes, mine is going pretty smoothly. The move is almost complete, and today I had a pretty quiet day. Meanwhile, we took a few drives and ran errands. With the sun high in the sky this morning, it was lovely. It's nice to be out and about in nice weather, and we're quite lucky these days, having several spring-like, sunny days. While we were running to the supermarket to do some shopping, we came across a prevention day. There was an optical center in the city that was offering free eye exams to anyone who asked. Several opticians were advertising these free exams, as well as some discounts in their stores, offering glasses and prescription lenses at discounted prices. It's really nice when you stumble upon free medical exams, and it's always a good idea to take advantage of them, considering how expensive they are!
My husband and I didn't miss the opportunity. The visit was truly thorough, with various optometric tests and tests to measure diopters and any vision problems. Both my husband and I have legendary myopia, and I also have astigmatism, as I already knew from visiting an optician a year ago. In short, we really should get some custom-made, prescription glasses as soon as we have some money saved up. They had really nice glasses, some expensive and branded, others less so, and some cute, funny vase holders with glasses on them.
Feliz viernes, amigos del blog, ¿cómo están? El mío va de maravilla. La mudanza está casi terminada y hoy tuve un día tranquilo. Mientras tanto, salimos a dar una vuelta en coche e hicimos algunos recados. Con el sol brillando en lo alto esta mañana, fue precioso. Es agradable estar al aire libre con este buen tiempo, y tenemos mucha suerte estos días, con varios días soleados y primaverales. Mientras íbamos al supermercado a hacer la compra, nos topamos con una jornada de prevención. Había un centro óptico en la ciudad que ofrecía exámenes de la vista gratuitos a quien lo solicitara. Varias ópticas anunciaban estos exámenes gratuitos, así como descuentos en sus tiendas, ofreciendo gafas y lentes graduadas a precios reducidos. Es genial encontrar exámenes médicos gratuitos, ¡y siempre es buena idea aprovecharlos, teniendo en cuenta lo caros que son!
Mi esposo y yo no perdimos la oportunidad. La visita fue muy completa, con varias pruebas optométricas y mediciones de dioptrías para detectar cualquier problema de visión. Tanto mi esposo como yo tenemos miopía severa, y yo también tengo astigmatismo, como ya sabía por una visita al óptico hace un año. En resumen, deberíamos hacernos unas gafas graduadas a medida en cuanto tengamos suficiente dinero ahorrado. Tenían gafas muy bonitas, algunas caras y de marca, otras más sencillas, y unos jarrones con forma de gafas muy originales.
Anyway, after our errands and the free visit (lucky me!) we finally got back to our new house. Now everything is almost ready, so we're starting to sleep here. Unfortunately, the fridge and other things are missing, but we're slowly getting everything sorted out. I immediately put on my pajamas after a shower, which was unfortunately cold and very quick because the plumber needs to fix the hot water. For dinner, I didn't make my usual delicacies, but I bought some ricotta and spinach ravioli and a four-cheese sauce, which I have to say was a pleasant discovery. The ravioli with this sauce were delicious. I love cheese sauces, I usually make them at home, but this one was really good. Now, goodbye blog friends, I'm going to rest on the sofa for a bit. Bueno, después de nuestros recados y la visita gratis (¡qué suerte la mía!), por fin volvimos a nuestra nueva casa. Ya casi está todo listo, así que empezamos a dormir aquí. Por desgracia, faltan la nevera y otras cosas, pero poco a poco lo estamos solucionando. Me puse el pijama enseguida después de ducharme; la ducha, por desgracia, estaba fría y fue muy rápida porque el fontanero tiene que arreglar el agua caliente. Para cenar, no preparé mis platos habituales, sino que compré unos raviolis de ricotta y espinacas y una salsa de cuatro quesos, que, la verdad, fue un grato descubrimiento. Los raviolis con esta salsa estaban riquísimos. Me encantan las salsas de queso, suelo prepararlas en casa, pero esta estaba buenísima. Bueno, adiós, amigos del blog, voy a descansar un rato en el sofá. ¡Hasta pronto!
