Hi bloggers and community, how are you? What are you having for lunch today? Today I’m going to share my experience eating meatballs after the rain stopped at a place called Bakso Masa Sekolah.
As the name suggests, this place has a signature menu featuring a selection of Indonesian beef/chicken noodle soup. The place is spacious and has a playground, making it perfect for gathering with the whole family. They also have a snack vending machine here.
In addition to the beef/chicken noodle soup dishes, they also offer several other options such as fried rice, various rice dishes with fish and chicken, and some side dishes like shu mai and satay.
I ordered the Mie Sop Masa Sekolah and Bakso Kojek, while my friend ordered fried rice. After a rain like this, eating beef noodle soup in warm broth is the perfect choice. The beef noodle soup at this place look like this: rice noodles topped with beef broth, filled with beef meatballs, tofu cubes, a few pieces of beef, and crackers on top. You can customize the seasoning yourself with soy sauce and chili sauce. The flavor is savory, and the meatballs are chewy.
In addition to a bowl of beef noodle soup, I also ordered Kojek meatballs, which bring back nostalgic memories of my school days. Eating meatballs that look like this is one of my childhood memories because back then, there was always someone selling meatballs like this at school. The meatballs are mixed with curry broth and served in a plastic bag, the traditional way to eat them was to bite the corner of the bag, but now I eat them with a fork.
Another dish on the menu is fried rice topped with an omelet and chicken, served with crackers on the side. It looks simple but is very filling.
