Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

It's Saturday once again, and we all know that Saturday means Caturday… not only my favorite day of the week but also that day when we all get to share pictures of our favorite feline friends!

Today I find myself thinking a lot about how suddenly change can happen.

Just a few days ago we were complaining about what a wet and cold spring and early summer it has been, following one of the coolest and wettest months of June in many years and now we're in the middle of a heat wave!

Not that I mind too terribly much because we have all the doors and windows in the house open and I've been lying in front of the screen door and the breeze which has been relatively nice and cool.

Thankfully it doesn't get too terribly hot in this part of the world. Because we are surrounded by water on three sides, the temperature here only got up to about 78°, but in nearby Seattle they were up in the 90s.

It was certainly a very sudden change!

Of course the sudden downturn in the crypto markets was also a very sudden change. Just a relatively short while ago we were looking at our own hive token being $0.30 and not very long after it was getting down towards $0.18 and below and at a three-year low!

Can we really not do any better than that? Seems like people are eternally coming up with excuses and rationalizations and reasons for how "Hive will have its time." Not sure how I feel about that...

I'm told he prevailing wisdom in situations like this is to simply focus on how many tokens you have rather than how much they're worth in USD terms, but I find it difficult to stay completely unaffected in a situation like this.

I suppose the thing that troubles me a bit is the fact that a lot has happened here on Hive over the past three years and this place has a lot more to offer than it had back then and yet we haven't progressed any. If anything, we're less known now than we were three years ago!

I'm not going to lose sleep over it nor change my approach to what I'm doing here but I do find it a little bit alarming, and it does make me pause to question whether we're going to be the eternally "forgotten corner" of the crypto world.

Maybe I'm just being too skeptical here, and should stop while I'm ahead!

Anyway, we're going to continue enjoying our sunny weather... and hopefully it means that summer finally is truly here!
